The St. Louis Cardinals minor league clubs had their first taste of game action on Thursday as there were two intersquad games played on the backfields of the Roger Dean complex.
As the St. Louis Cardinals’ organization has done for quite some time, they provide recaps of these spring games to various media members. I will be bringing you these recaps on a daily basis until minor leaguers break camp in early April.
Before we get to the results, there are a couple of things you need to remember when viewing these results:
— The stats are extremely incomplete as the Cardinals usually send only a couple of players per team.
— These stats are kept by other players so they may not be 100% accurate.
— Take the rosters with a grain of salt, especially early in camp as there are several minor league players still in big league camp. As the spring progresses and players start getting cut from big league camp, the rosters could stabilize.
