The St. Louis Cardinals have come up with a wonderful promotion to help fans remember the famous 1985 season.
All that’s missing is an umpire yelling safe instead of out.
Those wanting a Don Denkinger bobblehead will be disappointed, but if you are a fan of the 1985 Cardinals then the team has bobbleheads for you that feature members of that World Series squad.

Ozzie Smith, the master of the backflip whose dramatic homer beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 5 of the 1985 NLCS, is first up on April 28.
Smith is followed by Jack Clark (May 5), Todd Worrell (May 26), Danny Cox (June 2), manager Whitey Herzog (June 16), Tom Herr (June 30), Rick Horton (July 28), Ken Dayley (Aug. 11), Tito Landrum (Aug. 18), Vince Coleman (Sept. 1) and John Tudor (Sept. 8).
The bobblehead promotion concludes Sept. 22 with Willie McGee, one of the Cardinal legends of the 1980s.
These bobbleheads will be given away on select Tuesdays during the baseball season when you buy selected tickets, although if you don’t live in the immediate area and play your cards right as a bobblehead collector you may be able to snap the set up quickly.
All in all, this sounds like a fun way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of the best Cardinal seasons of all time. Only one question: Why no Jack Buck bobblehead?
