Colin Moran

Colin Moran was non-tendered by the Pittsburgh Pirates in November, making him a free agent. Moran has had much success against the St. Louis Cardinals over the years. It would be nice to see him have success for the St. Louis Cardinals.

He bats left, throws right, and can plan first and third base. Both positions are pretty set with Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado, respectively. But Moran would provide an excellent fill-in option if Marmol chose to use Goldy or Arenado for the designated hitter.

He hit .258/.334/.390 with a 98+ wRC. He had 12 doubles, 10 homers with 50 RBI, and 36 walks in 99 games played for the Pirates in 2021.

Sure, he will not be taking over either position. But what a good backup option to have for the Cardinals. According to Robert Murray, there is reportedly interest in Moran by the Cardinals.
