St. Louis Cardinals: Second Sports Crate coming with Yadier Molina theme

As you may know, the Loot Crate company signed an agreement this season with MLB to create the MLB division of their Sports Crate company. Each month they send a St. Louis Cardinals’ themed box to me (and others).

The St. Louis Cardinals themed Sports Crate box that came last month was themed for Adam Wainwright and I loved it. If you missed my piece on it, jump over here and take a few moments of jealousy if you didn’t receive a box too.

As I anxiously await box number two, I was rewarded for my patience this morning with an email from Sports Crate unveiling the theme for the second box: Yadier Molina. The first box was called “Bringing the Heat” and the second iteration is being called, “Behind the dish.”

While the box is catcher-themed, it promises to have things for the great MLB fan who BBQs. Do you grill? I know I do and I know that my father does too. Hint, hint that Father’s Day is THIS Sunday in case any of you haven’t made appropriate purchases yet. I’m hoping there will be some good stuff in this box that I can give to my Dad.

Noting that last month’s box had a Wainwright action figure, this month’s crate is said to have an action figure in the likeness of Molina. Outside of that fact, and the fact that the box will have BBQ equipment (as evidenced in the quote above), the crate is always full of surprises and I am very much looking forward to mine arriving.

After receiving the first box, I must admit that a “true” St. Louis Cardinals fan simply cannot live without a subscription to the Sports Crate boxes. I, for one, am beyond excited for the next to arrive and know that I will be on pins and needles each month waiting for (1) the month’s theme, and (2) the actual box.
