Three of the ten games during the St. Louis Cardinals’ recent homestand were postponed because of rain. One was made up as part of a doubleheader last week, and the other two have been rescheduled for June.

The St. Louis Cardinals‘ recent homestand was often interrupted by rain, and they ended up playing only eight of the ten scheduled games. Three games were postponed, but the cancelled game against the Toronto Blue Jays was played the next day as the first game in a day/night doubleheader.

Last Saturday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds was also postponed. That game is rescheduled for Monday, June 26. First pitch will be 3:15 PM.

That game now comes at the end of what was originally a brief three-game homestand against the Pittsburgh Pirates. After playing the make-up game against the Reds that afternoon, the Cardinals will fly out to Arizona for a three game series against the Diamondbacks beginning the very next day.

They then will return back to St. Louis for a ten game homestand with no travel day to spare on the back end of the trip to Arizona.

Last Wednesday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, the third game of a scheduled four-game series, was the third postponement of the previous homestand. That game will be made up in doubleheader fashion on Tuesday, June 13.

The Brewers will already be in town that week for a series that is scheduled from Tuesday, June 13 through Thursday, June 15. It now becomes a four game series over the course of those three days.

The first game of the doubleheader that Tuesday is the make-up game from this past week. First pitch for the day game will be 1:15 PM CT, while the nightcap will begin at 7:15 PM CT.

Fans who had a ticket to the game Thursday night against the Brewers will receive a voucher for two tickets to an upcoming home game this season. The start time had to be moved back more than five hours Thursday because of the recent weather.

The doubleheader against Milwaukee in June will be the second doubleheader of the season for the Cardinals. They won both games of the twin bill against the Blue Jays last week.
