#FansToThePast is a social media-based promotion encouraging fans to share their favorite photos with the Cardinals for a chance to win a private tour of the Cardinals Museum with Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith. Who wouldn’t want to have the opportunity of a lifetime?
“This is a fun way to celebrate the important role fans play in team history,” Vicki Bryant, Vice-President of Event Services & Merchandising, said in a team statement. “Fan history is team history. We hope our fans will share with us their favorite photos and memories celebrating great moments in team history or selfies enjoying our new Cardinals Hall of Fame & Museum at Cardinals Nation in Ballpark Village.”
It is the hope that Cardinals fans will take to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with the #FansToThePast hashtag between now and April 5, 2015. These photos may be used within a #FansToThePast video, an online photo gallery or even on display at the Cardinals Hall of Fame & Museum at Cardinals Nation in Ballpark Village. The one lucky fan who wins the tour with the legendary shortstop will be able to bring up to five guests with them.
