Wainwright faces three familiar foes for the award in Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw, both of the Dodgers. Wainwright previously received the honor in 2009 and 2013.
Molina is up against Jonathan Lucroy of the Brewers and Russell Martin, who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates this season. Molina received the honor for six consecutive season starting in 2008.
It’s hard to imagine either not winning the award. Both Yadi and Waino field their positions so well. This year we saw first hand how valuable Yadi’s glove is when he was out for several weeks with a thumb injury. And Waino’s fielding prowess was shown off during much of the season and postseason.
I think the duo is sure to win again!
