Sam Tuivailala has been named to the ninth annual Arizona Fall League’s  Fall Stars game, which will be played Saturday at 7pm CT on MLB Network.

According to Brian Stull of St. Louis Baseball Weekly:

"Tuivailala, who is on the West roster, has made six appearances for the Peoria Javelinas of the Arizona Fall League this season. In eight innings pitched, he has allowed five hits and one earned run while striking out seven and walking three batters. The 22-year old, right-hander made two appearances for the Cardinals towards the end of the 2014 season after making stops in Palm Beach, Springfield, and Memphis.Joining Tuivailala on the Javelinas roster are pitchers Mitch Harris and Tyrell Jenkins, second baseman Jacob Wilson, outfielder C.J. McElroy, and catcher Cody Stanley. Former big-leaguer Jason Simontacchi is the team’s pitching coach–a role he also fills for the Peoria Chiefs (A) affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals."

Bravo Tui!

This Fall Stars selection is certainly a reward for not only his hard work in the Fall League but for his performance down the stretch for the Cardinals organization. Here’s hoping he has a great game and maybe a little bit of rest time before we see him in Spring Training at Jupiter.
