Springfield Cardinals (24-20): Springfield hosted Frisco yesterday as Tim Cooney got the start. It was a pitchers’ duel for both squads as Cooney went 7 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and striking out 7. Frisco’s Carlos Pimentel went 7 innings, allowed 1 hit, 2 walks, and struck out 8. Mike O’Neill had the Cardinals only hit of the night.

Palm Beach Cardinals (18-28): Palm Beach got a 9-5 win over Brevard County last night. Jonathan Rodriguez had a 3-run home run.
