The St. Louis Cardinals have plenty of prospects to be executed bout. One of them is Tai Peete.

Peete, who came over in the Brendan Donovan trade, had a terrific year split between three levels. When he was healthy, the 21-year-old slashed pitchers for a .908 OPS in 66 games and showed off his toolsy archetype.

Now, Peete has continued his Cardinal carnage in the Arizona Fall League (AZFL).

The AZFL is a top-tier location at this time of year for some of the league’s best prospects to get extra work. Other Redbirds participating include Michael Watson, Tekoah Roby, and Cade McGhee.

Peete has been one of the league’s most impressive hitters. His OPS is 1.097 through 11 games.

On top of the success, he’s setting records.

Cardinals' Tai Peete just tied the AFL record with triples in four consecutive games

On October 22, Peete became the first player in AZFL history since at least 2005 to triple in four straight games. Speed, power, and explosive athleticism have been on full display.

On the Seeing Red podcast, Bernie Miklasz and Will Leitch asked Cardinals POBO Chaim Bloom about Peete, and he shared his thoughts.

“The great year continues. I mean, he’s doing it right now in Arizona,” said Bloom. “Electric person, electric player, tremendous set of tools. I know he came out and revealed that he was battling some illnesses during the year where he lost a bunch of weight, and we had to take some time kind of getting him back out there, and then he picked up right where he left off.”

Bloom continued, “The question with this guy when we acquired him, and obviously he was very young for the level last year, and kinda got beat, maybe borderline overwhelmed offensively at High-A last year. A lot of that just stems from whether he's going to make enough contact to get to his pop?”

Bloom’s emphasis on Peete’s tools has been a key part of the sudden breakout. Since the outfielder came over, he’s completely transformed himself as a hitter and is, in fact, getting in touch with his pop.

Peete is another Cardinals prospect with the potential to make a serious impact within the next two years. The AZFL showing has only hardened his case for a 2027 bout.
