Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox were the most disappointing team in baseball in 2022, missing the playoffs after being heavy favorites in the American League Central. A mix of injuries, bad clubhouse chemistry, and some emerging needs on the team crippled the club’s chances. The White Sox will want to turn things around in 2023, but also could be on the verge of a blow up as well.

Either way, a name like Lucas Giolito could be available for the right pieces. Tim Anderson is a guy that the South Side of Chicago could cash in on. The White Sox also have a few different bullpen arms of interest for St. Louis. It is hard to predict what Chicago will look to do, but pretty much every direction they could go, St. Louis would be interested.

Even if the White Sox do not make major trades this off-season, they are a team the Cardinals should keep a close eye on. If the Guardians and Twins continue to give them trouble in the AL Central, this could be a team that has major stars available on the market. From Giolito and Anderson, to potentially names like Liam Hendricks and Dylan Cease, you just never know who could end up being a part of a rebuild sale.
