Aaron Judge

Two years ago, my colleague Mark Graves argued that the Cardinals should sign Aaron Judge. Now, with the Cardinals offense based on the home run, why not go out inside the best home run hitter in all of baseball?

Signing Aaron Judge would take away some of the stress Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado have for carrying this offense. In addition it would help solve the Cardinals continuing conundrum in the outfield.

Right now the Cardinals starting outfield is Tyler O’Neill in left, Dylan Carlson in center, and Lars Nootbaar in right, with Juan Yepez on the bench. I have nothing against Lars Nootbaar, who made a big improvement from his rookie year to this year. Not to mention the Cardinals feed off his energy. #GrindThePepper

But we have to think: Is Lars Nootbaar really your best option as the full-time starting right fielder?

Or is there someone on the market worth spending for?

Next. This signing would be a mistake for STL. dark
