The Good

Paul Goldschmidt seemed to finally get his groove back this weekend becoming the elite hitter fans love.

Goldschmidt was three-for-five with two RBI on Friday. He was able to get balls into low covered areas in left field to move and score runners. It was excellent to see.

On Saturday, was two-for-five with two RBI. In the sixth inning, he hit a double to center, scoring Andrew Knizner and Tommy Edman. He looked great getting a double and getting runners home. Hopefully, this kickstarts more from Goldy.

Goldschmidt was two-for-four on Sunday, scoring the Cardinals’ only run off a double from Tyler O’Neill.

Goldschmidt is now hitting .236/.323/.309 and is 13-of-55, with four doubles, eight runs, five RBI, seven walks, and two stolen bases. This weekend looked to be good for Goldschmidt and is definitely something he can use to build on.
