Jenifer Langosch, who has been a mainstay beat reporter for the St. Louis Cardinals, answered some questions pertaining the Cardinals roster, along with the place of several big name prospects within the Cardinals organization.

Langosch’s thoughts on the St. Louis Cardinals  should be something that is taken very seriously, as she has some insider information that comes with being a beat reporter for the St. Louis Cardinals for so long. Interacting face-to-face with people within the organization gives her a more informed and well-rounded perspective about Cardinals decision making.

While this doesn’t mean that we should be taking her word as absolute, Langosch’s perspective can be revealing about the general way that Cardinals brass is thinking. In this particular case, she gave some interesting information on what she believes is management’s perspective on the current roster.

There are plenty of interesting things to note on what she believes the status is of a wide variety of players. The St. Louis Cardinals got noticeably deeper this season, so they still have some decisions to make regarding who exactly will be the major league roster to open 2019.

They may seem mum now, but there could also still be some trades in the works. Pitchers and catchers don’t report to camp for another 5+ weeks, so the Cardinals still have some time to avoid a Greg Holland scenario and make moves before players begin their routines to gear up for the season.

I personally was treated to some much welcomed perspective, and I feel like I have a better idea of what the Cardinals roster will look like because of it.
