The St. Louis Cardinals are expected to be well represented in the Japan All-Star Series, when the MLB takes on Nippon Professional Baseball.

John Brebbia and Yadier Molina will be heading to Japan. This series will take place from November 8 to November 15, and the St. Louis Cardinals are one of five teams to have two representatives. No team will be sending more than two players.

This series dates back to 1908, according MLB.com. It will be the 37th time that players will be heading to Japan to play.

The roster has some stars, including Juan Soto from Washington and Whit Merrifield from Kansas City. Emily Waldon of the Athletic tweeted out the expected roster, which can be seen below.

John Brebbia

The pitching representative for the St. Louis Cardinals is coming off a solid year, in a not so solid bullpen. In 50 innings, the righty struck out 60 batters with an ERA over three. He was even getting some closer talk throughout the tough 2018 season.

On his career, Brebbia has just over 100 innings in two seasons. He has shown some great things out of the bullpen and certainly earned the spot on the roster heading to Japan.

Yadier Molina

It is always good to see Yadi doing things like this. The longtime St. Louis Cardinals backstop seems to be fighting the inevitable age-related decline better than anyone could have hoped. Even after missing a month of the 2018 season, he secured an All-Star appearance and knocked 20 homers. That is the second highest mark of his career.

He has been a mainstay in the Cardinals lineup and that is just the start. Molina recently was the recipient of the Roberto Clemente award. The future Hall of Fame catcher has had a wonderful career and adds a great dynamic to this roster.

dark. Next. Fining a place for Marwin Gonzalez

The St. Louis Cardinals are very well represented for this All-Star series, both players should play very well.
