St. Louis Cardinals prospect Kevin Woodall Jr. had an unforgettable night as he hit three home runs and six RBIs on the night.

Less than two months ago, the St. Louis Cardinals selected outfielder Kevin Woodall Jr. in the 10th round (303rd overall) of the MLB Draft. Woodall Jr. was known for his power, as he mashed 18 home runs and 60 RBIs during his senior season, which led the Sun Belt conference in both stats.

So far for the Rookie Ball affiliate Johnson City Cardinals, he has been spectacular, but tonight might be a night that Woodall Jr. will never forget.

In the first inning, Woodall Jr. mashed a homer to right center field, which would also bring in lead-off hitter Brandon Riley. Then, in the fifth inning, he hit a solo shot to left center field. Sounds like he’s having a great game, right?

Well, it got even better in the seventh inning, as he hit another home run to right center field, which brought in Brandon Riley again. He also walked with the bases loaded in the eighth for another RBI.

The Cardinals won 7-5 over the Bristol Pirates, and Kevin Woodall Jr. obviously was the top performer, as he drove in six of the seven runs the team put up.

Kevin Woodall Jr. has already had quite the baseball career. In 2016, his college baseball team, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers went on a miraculous College World Series championship run. Now, he’s tearing up rookie ball, hitting .295 with six home runs and 17 RBIs to his name. He also already has eight doubles. Woodall Jr. is somebody who could make their way through the minor league system quickly, and he definitely showed off his potential tonight.
