With the St. Louis Cardinals opening day just around the corner, we’re introducing the Redbird Rants Mailbag. Send in your questions!

Since I started blogging about the St. Louis Cardinals a few months ago, one of my favorite parts of the gig is the opportunity to interact with other fans through this site, on Facebook, and on Twitter.

The mission here at FanSided and Redbird Rants is fan involvement and interaction. All of us contributors are Cardinals fans and all of our readers are Cardinals fans. In line with that mission of fan interaction, we’re introducing the Redbird Rants Mailbag.

Each week, either our site expert, Brendan Dlubala, or myself will take your St. Louis Cardinals questions through a message or mention on Twitter at @FSRedbirdRants, @zjgifford, or @B_Dooby. You can message us on Facebook page as well, Redbird Rants. Either way, use the hashtag #RRMailbag to make sure we can find your questions.

If you ever want to know our opinions about the performance on a specific player, this is your chance. Which rumors do we think are reliable, and which make sense for the team to pursue? Here’s your stop. What do we think about Yadier Molina’s contract situation? Who should be the opening day starting pitcher? Wondering about our own fan experiences? Ask away.

We’ll gladly take your questions on almost anything, just so long as you keep it respectful.

Our goal is to use this tool to generate more interaction with you, our readers and fans, and to create more dialogue throughout the season. We value all our fan’s thoughts and opinions, and hope this gets you more involved.

With the season just around the corner, we want to get the operation up and running. We’ll kickoff next week before opening day as part of our season preview and predictions.

Of course, to do that, we need to hear from you as soon as possible to get us started. So, send us a message on Twitter, Facebook, or in the comments below. We look forward to hearing your ideas and questions!
