MVP- Matt Holliday
On May 27, Matt Holliday broke the National League record for the longest on-base streak to begin a season, reaching for the 43rd-consecutive game with a fifth-inning single. This accomplishment has served as a testament to Holliday’s strong season, who now holds a .318 batting average, three home runs and 24 RBI in 2015.
Holliday’s intangibles and leadership qualities make him arguably one of the most important hitters in the Cardinals’ lineup, as St. Louis only averaged 3.4 runs per game without the 35 year-old outfielder in the lineup last month.
Runner-up: Matt Carpenter (.358 OBP, 5 HR, 13 RBIs)
