Actress Ellie Kemper, the star of the upcoming Netflix series, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday and told Seth how she wants her own day at Busch Stadium.
Naturally, the subject turned to her high school acting teacher, Mad Men star Jon Hamm, and how he had his own bobblehead day at Busch Stadium. Kemper told Meyers how she wanted a similar day at Busch Stadium.
It’s not a far-fetched idea to honor the actress at Busch Stadium with a bobblehead. Kemper was a member of NBC’s long-running ensemble comedy series, The Office, and is now starring on a Netflix series for at least two seasons, if not more. She’s been seen in a few movies so far, including the 2011 hit film, Bridesmaids.
Like her fellow co-stars, Jenna Fischer and Phyllis Smith, on The Office, Kemper grew up in St. Louis and, naturally, she is a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Both Matt Holliday and David Freese visited the series’ set a few years ago when they were in Los Angeles to play the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Notes from Jupiter:
It rained on Friday but that didn’t stop the Cardinals from getting any work done. Rather than throw outside, nine pitchers threw in batting cages inside. Not only that but discussion groups were set up inside to go over various in-game situations.
Adam Wainwright returned and hopes to make his first start of the spring in another 2-3 weeks. His not going to let the abdominal strain get him down.
The power will be coming for Stephen Piscotty but if you have been reading these pages for a while now, you already know that from our feature story in November.
Sam Tuivailala‘s brief taste of the Major Leagues in September is what is driving him this spring to make the roster.
