Melting many a cold baseball fan, Breyvic Valera, the St. Louis Cardinals No. 19 prospect, is continuing on his hot pace this Winter.
Carrying over from his Arizona Fall League performance to Winter League ball in his home of Venezula, Valera is having an outstanding fall and winter as his numbers just keep improving.
Check this out!
According to Teddy Cahill of MLB.com:
"Since returning to his native Venezuela after the Arizona Fall League, Breyvic Valera has been a consistent force in the lineup for Margarita. He continued his strong play last week, collecting at least one hit in all three games he appeared in to extend his on-base streak to 16 games. Valera, the Cardinals’ No. 19 prospect, is hitting .337/.396/.402 with 18 runs in 22 games this winter. The versatile 22-year-old continues to play both second base and center field."
Earlier this month, Valera was hitting .377/.433/.443 and has scored 14 runs in 15 games for Margarita in the Venezula league. Now, through 22 games, he has bettered his total to .337/.396/.402 with 18 runs. Amazing! What an awesome time for him to find his swing. In front of his family and friends. With everyone paying attention. It’s pretty great!
Let’s hope this carries over to spring and we continue hearing great things about Breyvic! Get it, kid!
