Weekend Roundup

It’s been a pretty frustrating spring training for the Cardinals and their fans. Thankfully it’s early, and unexpected miracles can still happen at this stage. Come cry with me in September if we’re ten games out.

So Berkman’s arm is hurting. Apparently this has been a problem for him all winter, and he’s just now disclosing it. Bodes well, does it not?

How would you like to have a 19 year old who can throw 98 miles and hour on your pitching staff? Yeah, I thought so.

Apparently Adam Wainwright’s injury causes 17 stages of grief. As opposed to the one stage that Aaron Miles causes (hint: just GRIEF).

Mozeliak has declined Holliday’s offer to defer money in order to sign Pujols. Probably because they’d have to defer the whole damned thing.

A brilliant look at the “inverted W” pitching motion that many experts believe caused Wainwright’s elbow injury in the first place. I always thought Wainwright snapped his arm too much in his motion.

Also, can John Mozeliak stop sounding like he’s about ready to cry when discussing the problems of the last two weeks? He just seems in over his head.
