Stan Musial Seventh Inning Stretch

It’s been a while since I last did a photo gallery to retrace the steps of the game and I would like to get back into that routine of daily coverage on the Cards actual games. Tonight, Albert Pujols was the man driving an easy for St. Louis. Pujols hit a pair of two-run home runs and drove in another run on a gapper to left for a total of five RBI. The king at the plate came up big for the Cards king on the hill who threw 6 1/3 innings of shutout ball. Adam Wainwright struck out seven and scattered five hits, keeping the struggling D’Backs off balance all night. Also making the highlight reel tonight was Felipe Lopez. Lopez set the table for Pujols throughout the game. The Cards third baseman was 4-for-5 and scored three runs, all after Pujols’ hits. Matt Holliday was 2-for-2 with 2 walks to push his batting average to .302. Dontrelle Willis was the victim of the Cards big night in the batter’s box. The D-Train still can’t seem to find the tracks and facing Albert Pujols only made matters worse.
