Be sure to check out Call to the Pen

FanSided launched a Major League Baseball blog to add to the baseball experience of the site. Most MLB teams are covered by lead bloggers on the site, and now Call to the Pen will take MLB coverage to a new level. MLB Director Wally Fish has worked extremely hard to put this together and I’m sure the site will take off as a top MLB blog on the web. So, if you enjoy Redbird Rants or any other of the fine blogs on FanSided, be sure to head over to Call to the Pen. Here’s an intro and welcome to the site.

"Welcome to Call to the Pen, a site dedicated to covering the entire landscape of baseball as thoroughly as we can possibly manage.  As the flagship site of FanSided.com Sport Network’s baseball coverage we are committed to making this one of the best Major League Baseball blogs around.  We are dedicated to bringing you top-notch original content on a daily basis by way of our featured columnists.   In addition we will strive, year round, to provide team specific and general reaction to trades, signings, contract extensions, and other transaction news as it applies to all 30 major league teams.  I hope you will become a regular reader of this site and enjoy the original content and news that we provide."

The site will cover a wide range of MLB news along with a featured column every day of the week. The featured columnists are writers on FanSided. I was lucky enough to get the call from Wally to have a column on the site. It will appear every Saturday and will focus on an interesting storyline in baseball. My column will be called the Ryno Report.

"The articles will be feature stories dealing with a variety of topics from a highly debated event to a look back at the week in history to an interesting look at a player."

So, be sure to check it out. The site is in its beginning stages and will include many more features and news stories down the road. Come this summer, the ‘pen will be firing out quality content.
