Who is ready for some baseball? The staff at Redbird Rants certainly is excited for the St. Louis Cardinals to begin spring training games (a mere five days from today), and this post will serve to help us know where and how to watch or listen.
Each and every year I am quoted as saying that March is the longest month for a baseball fan thanks in large part to the anticipation of the coming season. At the same time, baseball fans are satiated by spring training baseball games and the intrigue that comes with this time of year. In just five days from today, the St. Louis Cardinals will begin their spring training games and you will find the broadcast schedule below.
In addition to the schedule, I have taken the liberty of highlighting a few games that should be of great interest to Cardinal fans. 2016 spring training has the birds on the bat facing Atlanta, Boston, Houston, Miami, Minnesota, both teams from New York, and Washington. Enjoy this list-look at how and where to find this spring’s broadcasts! For a quick-and-dirty version of this list grouped by broadcast type, scroll to the bottom of this post.
Note: All times listed are Central Time Zone.

This game should be very interesting to see which players the organization strolls out first. A massive note: do not expect to see anyone play for very long in this game but do look to see who is marched out and who is not marched out.

The final game of spring training should be on every fan’s calendar. It will be in this game that fans should be able to glean a final touch of the starting roster for his/her team. It will be very interesting to see which of the position battles are satisfied for this game and/or which players have exited either to the minor league camp or via injury (let’s hope the Cardinals avoid this spring training trend this year).

I have always wanted to travel to Jupiter, Florida for spring training. I have a friend who goes down to a series of games each spring and I hate him for it (jealousy of course). While I have not yet made the trip, I do my best to never miss a broadcast spring game. The above list is now in my calendar, how about yours?
If you would like to find this list in calendar format (even with downloadable versions), visit the Cardinals website. For more information on the happenings of the Cardinals during spring training, be sure to follow our daily recap articles (most recent can be found here).
