Pirates at Cardinals, Game 141 Thread

The only good thing about last night’s loss was that the Cardinals got leave when they were done.

Otherwise, it was painfully ugly. We had to watch a pitcher who can pitch fail, and watch a very competent offense continue to struggle.

Luckily, tonight should be a good day.

The number one good thing is that the Cardinals are finally back home in St. Louis, where they’re 41-25 as opposed to 39-35 on the road.

The number two good thing is that Joe Kelly is pitching and the Cardinals literally can’t lose with him on the mound.

Sadly, the Cardinals’ offense still has to take on A.J. Burnett.

I don’t need to remind you all of how important this series against the Pirates is, and we could definitely use a sweep right now. Or even a series win. Luckily, after we take on the Pirates, we get a little bit of a breather, leaving plenty of room to hope for a Pittsburgh self-destruct sequence while we coast through our easy end of September.

At least so I hope. In the meantime, let’s take on the Pirates!
