Series Outlook: Cardinals Vs Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Cardinals are back home. After a 9 game road trip which was capped off with a sweep of the Nationals, the Cardinals return home to Busch Stadium this weekend to start a 6 game home stand. The 6 game home stand starts Friday Night when the Cardinals begin a 3 game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Cards are on a roll right now, they’re coming off a road trip in which they went 6-3, splitting 2 games with the Pirates, splitting 4 games with the Phillies, and finally sweeping the Washington Nationals on their own field earlier this week. The Cardinals pitching staff continues to soar high, they still lead the big leagues with a 2.35 ERA. Adam Wainwright is looking like he’ll be a Cy Young Contender this season as he has been pitching excellent as of late coming within 2 outs of his 2nd shutout of the season in his last start on Tuesday.

Since playing the Cardinals last week, the Pirates have gone 6-2 taking 3 of 4 from the Braves and Phillies. Their pitching is starting to get better with Wandy Rodriquez the former Astro, leading the way with a 1.66 ERA . Here’s hoping the Cardinals get the home stand of to a good start this weekend!!!
