Matt Holliday, Jason Heyward ranked on MLB Network’s Top Ten Right Now

St. Louis Cardinals outfielders Matt Holliday and Jason Heyward were recently ranked on MLB Network’s Top Ten Right Now.

Heyward, acquired during the offseason from the Atlanta Braves, was ranked fourth on MLB Network’s Top 10 Right Fielders Right Now! program that aired last night. Holliday, who is entering his seventh season with the Cardinals, was ranked seventh when the players on the Top 10 Left Fielders Right Now! were announced. No former Cardinals were ranked in either outfield position.

The rankings took a number of offensive and defensive metrics into account, both advanced and traditional, as well as projections for the upcoming 2015 baseball season. For the last five years, the MLB Network has been ranking players after the new year and before the start of Spring Training. The full lists for both right and left field can be found below.
