The St. Louis Cardinals announced their 2015 Spring Training schedule on Tuesday.

The team will begin a slate of 28 games in the 2015 installment of the Grapefruit League in Florida. The first game will be played on Thursday, March 5, at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Fla., when the Cardinals wear their road uniforms as they take on the Miami Marlins. Action will conclude on Thursday, April 2, before the club heads north to Memphis to play an exhibition game on Friday, April 3, against the Memphis Redbirds at Autozone Park.

There are a total of 15 home games at Roger Dean Stadium but the Cardinals will be the visiting team in three games against the Miami Marlins (March 5, 13, and 17). All in all, the Cardinals will play 18 games at Roger Dean Stadium. The two co-tenants will play each other six times.

This is the 18th Spring Training in Jupiter after the Cardinals trained in St. Petersburg, Fla. for many years. Pitchers and catchers are expected to report on February 19 for their first workout on February 20. Position players are expected to report by February 24. The first full team workout will take place on February 25.

The Cardinals will host nine opponents this spring including 4 games against teams that played in this fall’s postseason. The Cards host the Washington Nationals on March 25 and 30. The Baltimore Orioles visit on March 12 and the Detroit Tigers will stop by for a game on March 16.

American league teams that will visit Jupiter include Houston Astros (March 6), Boston Red Sox (March 9) and Minnesota Twins (March 14). In National League action, the Atlanta Braves stop by on March 21 (Will Shelby Miller or Tyrell Jenkins be pitching?) and the New York Mets will make three trips ((March 27, 29 & April 2).

All home games will start at 1:05 p.m. ET, except for the final game against the Mets on April 2 so that the team can pack up and head north. That game will take place on hour earlier.

Individual tickets won’t be on sale until Friday, January 9, at 5 p.m. ET but full season ticket plans, 6+ mini-plans and group tickets are on sale now.
