The Cardinals had an off-day yesterday, but tonight they start an interleague series with the Chicago White Sox. The Cardinals currently sit in third place, two games back of the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates. Obviously we can’t do a recap of last night’s game as there wasn’t one, but after the jump we’ll look at the standings and preview tonight’s game.

The Cardinals will start 5-6 Adam Wainwright against 1-1 Jose Quintana. Wainwright has a 4.97 ERA and has obviously been shaky this season. The rookie Quintana has a 2.05 ERA in five appearances this year. Game time is 7:15 and Redbird Rants will have the recap tomorrow.
