It stayed that way til the ninth as Matt Holliday came up with a two run double and Craig hit a two run home run to ice the cake.

Sunday May 13 Braves 7 Cardinals 4

Cardinal moms didn’t get the mothers day present they wanted. Jason Heyward made sure of that with a big bases clearing double in fourth off Lance Lynn who lost his first game of the season. Carlos Beltran continued to be superhuman and the hottest player in baseball not named Josh Hamilton with his seventh homer of the week. Allan Craig added a three run home run in the ninth but that would be too little too late. Tommy Hanson struck out nine Cardinals over five innings for the Braves.

The Cardinals will be facing the Cubs, Giants and Dodgers in the only NL series this weekend.
