Albert Pujols Wins NL Player Of The Week

facebooktwitterreddit
It’s no secret Albert has been off to a monumentally slow start for himself personally this year. The last eight games he has been on a tear even he is not known for.

It took coming back from the road trip over in Colorado for him to step back into Busch Stadium and just absolutely explode.

Since coming home May 30th to entertain the Giants, Albert’s numbers have been as follows:

5/30 (SF) – 2 for 4, HR, 2 RBIs

5/31 (SF) – 2 for 3, RBI

6/1 (SF) – 0 for 4

6/2 (SF) – 2 for 5

6/3 (CHC) – 1 for 3, HR, 2 RBIs

6/4 (CHC) – 3 for 4, 2 HRs, 4 RBIs

6/5 (CHC) – 2 for 4, HR, 2 RBIs

6/7 (@HOU) – 1 for 4, HR, RBI

Keep in mind, the last two games against the Cubs were won on the strength of walkoff Pujols shots. Albert has come back to show his worth in more ways than one. To quell the desire of the entire league to see Albert struggle, this one is for you.

Not only has our team been great without Albert, our slugger is now back in many ways to help pick up more numbers for our team.
