Before Spring Training, it was thought that he'd be ready to pitch when the season opened. Now he's no where to be found. I guess it was a low risk signing that the front office was willing to make. I hope the averages improve after Carpenter comes back. Maybe he can motivate everyone else. Wainwright hasn't been as good as expected so-far. And what's with Clement? There doesn't seem to be much of a pattern (i.e., the outings aren't getting consistently shorter or anything) but it's good that the pitchers are doing well enough to stay out there. As rough as our bullpen can be, the fewer innings they throw, the better. Good point.
